Forest Dwellers, 2024, $3000

"For these works on paper, I was inspired by our backyard. Our backyard is full of hundred year old pines, aspen trees, and many woodland creatures. There is a family of deer that lay in our grass, basking in the sun for hours at a time. I was enjoying my coffee looking out and had a thought about these people that have abandoned society to live in the forest. It was fun to imagine these inner worlds and bring them to life on paper. 

All of the pieces are drawn with graphite and ink, and painted with watercolors." ~Sara Scribner
