"The theme of this series of six paintings is an amusement park set in the past, between the 1930s and 1950s- a way of life from another era. Perhaps in salute to the old Coney Island Amusement Park in New York, I wanted to find a theme that was optimistic and happy, and above all looking for beauty. Beauty and "happiness," if it really exists, I find it in another time, perhaps from a previous life. These studies are created in a looser and more fresh manner than usual, but with discipline and harmony with the color." ~Juan Luis Jardi
