"The animals and beings that we have seen and associated with different groups of stars for centuries, the so-called constellations, allow us to identify their location within the infinity that is space. However, we could not state that to know their name is to know them, nor could we assume that we actually know the space in which they live. Because, how could our minds conceive of an infinite space? How could we reduce such an experience to a name, or a concept? When looking into a star-filled sky at night, I sometimes manage to see without naming and leave my gaze open to that which I cannot know. To not pretend to know that which I cannot know is my way of opening myself to the mystery of outer space, leaving the question about that mystery as alive as I can. How does one paint that? I don't know. How does one allude to that? I don't know. Maybe a way to do so is to try for each stroke to carry some of that feeling of awe or perplexity, while allowing ink, water and a brush to draw images on pieces of Japanese paper."  ~Juan Andres Videla
