Jen Garrido's work fills the gallery with a light, playful and yet soothing energy. The negative space in her work feels fresh, her gesture loose but practiced. Spry is a word that comes to mind. Garrido obviously has years of experience under each brushstroke but each touch of watercolor, ink or gouache has its own new vigor.
