Take a trip with me to the Nordic countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark in this suite of collages, inspired by my recent summer travels with my family. These collages jaunt through the folk architecture of the past, visiting fairy tale creatures and open air museums, then find friendship and cheer in the welcoming cities on the water. Using the Scandinavian signature colors of Falu red and ochre yellow, the collages express the culture’s essential connection to nature and lifestyles of simplicity and modesty.
